An entire computer desktop drawn by hand in pencil: the menu bar with the live date and time, the folders stacked down the left margin, the icon dock at the bottom, the windows that open with their close cross. All of it drawn by hand, all of it working.
Concept
A creative studio has the hardest brief of all: its site is its work. There is no product to show, because the product is having ideas — so the site has to be the demonstration itself.
I made the site your desktop, drawn by hand in pencil. The menu bar with the date and time actually running, the folders for the studio's three areas down the margin, the dock at the bottom with eight objects drawn one by one, the wastebasket top right, and the project windows with their tabs and their close cross. The joke starts before you are even in: the screen is blank and a progress bar reads "loading desktop wallpaper".
The idea says on its own what the studio wants you to understand: here everything is made by hand. The most automatic, impersonal tool you use every day, redrawn in pencil. And in 2012, when every interface was imitating leather and metal, it was exactly the opposite of what everyone was doing.
