Stack Bilingüe ES/EN Audio y video Streaming en vivo
The site for an international guitar festival at the Smithsonian, with twenty artists from twenty countries in a strip of portraits, each with a biography, a programme, photographs, audio and video. And one red button, above everything else: LIVE Webcast.
Concept
An Ibero-American guitar festival at the Smithsonian in Washington, with twenty artists from twenty countries and Berta Rojas as artistic director. The site had to serve three different audiences without mixing them up: the people attending, the people who cannot, and the press.
For the ones who cannot attend —by far the largest audience, spread across Latin America— we put the live broadcast above everything, in red. In 2010, streaming three days of festival live out of the Smithsonian was a serious production decision, and it is what turns a local event into something watched in twenty countries.
For the press and the programmers I built a page per artist: biography, programme, photographs, genre, concert time, a video and an audio player with one of their pieces, all of it in English and Spanish. Someone who has never heard of a guitarist can read who they are, watch them and listen to them without leaving the page.
