A platform for learning to play songs, born out of a passion: there are hundreds of chord sites, but none designed around the experience and the aesthetics so that you actually learn — and none that tells you the story behind each song and each artist. DoReSol brings both together: the chord and the context.

Concept

Anyone who wants to play a song today finds pages full of ads, badly typed lyrics and chords with no explanation. DoReSol starts from a different idea: learning music also means learning where it comes from. Every song has its chords synced to the video, its diagrams per instrument, its transposition and capo — and, below that, the story behind it: who wrote it, which record it came out on, what was happening in the artist's life, why it sounds the way it does.

The site reads like a music magazine. The home page is not a search box but a curated songbook: edition of the month, find of the week, songs playing right now, collections by mood, situation, era, region, instrument and level, and the artists who changed music. Editorial and warm, with no aggressive banners: even the Premium pitch is written as an invitation.

For someone learning, it is a place where the tools —tuner, metronome, chord dictionary, lessons per instrument— live alongside the culture. It is the most personal side of my work: someone who studied piano as a child and wanted to build the site he would have liked to learn with. I have run it on my own since 2018 —concept, design, content, backend, SEO, monetisation and AI— in continuous development.
